Even though your house is a place where you’re spending your relaxation time, where you play around with your family, and watch TV, some of the stress and anger you experience at work and in traffic will inevitably show on the time you spend at home

So, in order to restore the natural equilibrium of your home and make it the home-sweet-home it used to be, you’re going to need all the scented candles, Eastern philosophy, and lazy bags you can lay your hands on.

In this article, we’re going to propose to you a couple of ways to reduce the stress levels in your house and increase positive energy at the same time. As you will see, this is not that difficult to do, nor does it require you to make a trip to Tibet, so if you’re a person in need of some suggestions on how to improve your home situation, strap yourself in for this one.

Here are some ways to increase positive energy and peace in your house:

(1) Essential Oils

Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants, whereby the oils get the plant’s scent and flavor, which are obtained through distillation (via steam and/or water) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing. Once the aromatic chemicals have been extracted, they are combined with a carrier oil to create a product that’s ready for use.

It is a well-known fact that essential oils have therapeutic properties if you use them in a certain way. The thing is, when we are exposed to pleasant fragrances, we tend to relax and go to a better place mentally.

Now, other than enjoying an individual essential oil treatment for yourself, what you also may want to get on top would be the essential – a curious contraption that lets out a small amount of these fragrant liquids, thus making the entire area smell better and also help alleviate the symptoms of your anxiety and stress.

(2) Declutter

One of the best ways to make your home a pleasant place to stay in would certainly be to declutter the living area as much as you can.

The more you can get rid of unnecessary objects and old crisps bags, the more room you will have to place objects of importance, or just leave that space empty, which gives away the impression of spaciousness and freedom even if you live in a small apartment.

Decluttering in this sense is killing two birds with one stone, as you can get rid of the unnecessary items and free up space, which will make your home a pleasant place to stay in. Also, more space means more home décor solutions to choose from.

(3) Add Flowers and House Plants

Greenery is a well-known way of relaxing humans and making us be in touch with nature even if we live in a tall grey building.

Flowers and plants are the spirits of home. These living organisms interact with your body, mind, and home in ways that enhance the quality of life. Additionally, using plants for the decoration of a bedroom, living room, kitchen and library are highly recommended.

So, to tackle negative energy and tedium building up in your house, get a couple of house plants or flowers. It will immediately beautify the whole area and watering them every day will give you something pleasant to do every day.

Overall, including plants and flowers can’t hurt your creative house plans and designs (as you can always simply remove them), but it can be an easy way to create a healthy domestic atmosphere you’re going to enjoy.

(4) Crystals

There are many crystals and stones that you can use to dispel negative energy.

Crystals send strong vibrations to destroy negative energy, and they can even counteract the emotions and negative thoughts we find in the face of people around us.

Black tourmaline is one of the best crystals you need to have at home. Place black tourmaline near the entrance to the house to prevent any potential negative energy from entering the house.

Another way is to put black tourmaline in the middle of the house to repel negative energy. Other crystals that can fight negative energy well are rose quartz, smoky quartz, hematite, black amber, black agate, purple-ruby, black obsidian, and Apache tears

To help these crystals function, you need to clean them once a week. Put the crystal in a bowl of purified water and then dry for at least 4 hours under sunlight.

(5) Set Up Some Inspirational Quotes

… so you can always remind yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing.

The thing is, the fact that you have your own home is what matters here the most, so the fact alone that you can decorate it any way you want can inspire you to feel glad when you get home after a hard day of work.

All in all, whether it’s essential oils or some artwork that does it for you, increasing positive energy in your home is all about personalizing the place until you feel comfortable in it. With a bit of creativity, decluttering, and experimentation, you can rest assured you’ll be able to make your home a place of relaxation and enjoyment – and fairly easily, too.

(6) Decorate with mirrors

Mirrors are used more than just for energizing at the entrance to the house.
In general, mirrors reflect light and make the interior of your home wider and brighter and give us a sense of calm.

Another advantage of using mirrors is that there are many designs to choose from and you can choose the right mirror depending on the interior design of your home.
