Papercake Trading was conceived by Andrea Van Stryp & Anneke Pettenburger one Saturday afternoon over a glass of wine at Question Mark in Melville. We had grand ideas, some which have panned out, some not. But we’ve always kept the dream alive. Making the things we love and sharing it with the world.

As the story goes we started in a garage, covered in clay, glue and grout and subsequently worked our way into a studio in Greenside. We have been creating since 2006 with our crew of ladies and hope to keep growing in ideas and size!

a bit more about Papercake products
Papercake Trading creates ceramic and mosaics ranging from crockery to large scale ceramic and mosaic commission work, hand made and painted tiles, as well as a range of decor items. Our style is suited to the projects we get involved in. In our decor ranges all our wares have a hand made feel to them. Our hand made tiles are goregeous and absolutely unique.

We also recently added a crockery range to our repetoire which is doing fantastically well. Our commissioned mosaic pieces grace the walls of hotels, restaurants and private homes throughout south africa.
