Spotted at this years Decorex, Hellooow Handmade works with a team of HIV+ women and recycled paper clay to produce a range of contemporary beaded jewellery as well as gorgeous ceramic beaded chandeliers.
Inspired by South Africa’s local craft heritage, combined with global trends and designs, Merewyn de Heer packed up her advertising career and began her new journey with the birth of Hellooow Handmade. Their range includes contemporary and vintage-style ceramic bead necklaces bangles, quirky designs and colours, some combined with ribbon or crochet.
“Our chandeliers are made from our hand-rolled ceramic beads, either in their raw natural form or else they can be coloured to spec, retaining their natural matt finish. Our range includes varying sizes, shapes and designs, some classic, some more organic and contemporary. We can also custom make to specific requirements. We just love what we do! And we really look forward to creating a gorgeous piece for you or your home,” said Merewyn de Heer.
