Moving further down along the coast lies Salmon Bay which is a launch area for watercraft. It is also home to the Ballito Inflatable Boat Clubhouse.

Because the beaches are so well maintained and looked after, Ballito has become a popular fishing spot. Fishermen are guaranteed to fish to their hearts’ content in a clean and safe environment. Fishing licenses are available at any of the local post offices but licenses for oysters, mussels, and crayfish can only be purchased from the Nature Conservation Offices at 25 Stella Road in Umbilo, Durban.
