The orchard is planted East to West and fertilizers applied with organic methods. Area specific flora and grass planted amongst the trees. The trees are between 20 and 30 years of age and a few trees were replanted 5 years ago.

There are two covered reservoirs that gravity feed the irrigation system in the orchard. There are 2 driplines 1 on each side of every lane and also a micro sprinkler with every tree. There are two registered boreholes with Water rights from the Magalies River. They yield on the boreholes are 5 and 9 literes per hour.

At the heart of the orchard you find a charming 2 bedroom home which was utilised as a guesthouse before. It was cleverly designed with incorporating the existing buildings and creating a modern feel to a characterful dwelling. Large open plan lounge and kitchen, two beautiful bathrooms, 2 rondawel shaped bedrooms, and a large covered porch overlooking the orchard and the mountain vistas.
