Cape St Martin is located approximately 160km's from Cape Town or a two hour drive up the West Coast. Cape St Martin is situated in Old Britannia Bay, which is the original area at the far end of Britannia Bay. Cape St Martin is a private estate on its own stretch of coastline, and similarly to Shelley Point on the shape of a peninsula. The estate is a nature reserve with small wildlife and less developed and more green and rustic than other surrounding areas.
A short 15 minute drive from Cape St Martin is the beautiful and well known town of Paternoster. Paternoster is famous for its resemblance to Greece, with its white architecture and cobbled streets along the beachfront. Paternoster is a favourite town amongst South African foodies, as it is home to some of the country's finest restaurants like The Noisy Oyster, Reubens on the West Coast and Wolfgat.
It has a beautiful far stretching white beach with perfect conditions for watersports and swimming. There is wonderful bird and sea life along this part of the coastline.
